Reduced Light Nights:
- The Perseid Meteor shower is the premier summer viewing event. In 2026, it will peak overnight from August 12 to August 13 just before dawn. Because the peak falls on a new moon, conditions in Minden Hills will be pitch-dark and ideal, yielding up to 90-100 shooting stars per hour.
- Southern Delta Aquariids: Peaks July 30-31 with an expected 10-15 meteors per hour.
